Project Engineer – Toolroom

The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing and executing toolroom projects for the automobile sector, including new tool development, Fixture Development, and delivery within defined timelines and quality standards. They will coordinate between design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure efficient tool development and deployment.

1. Manage end-to-end project execution for new tool development (moulds, dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges) in the automotive domain.

2. Coordinate with design, machining, assembly, and quality teams to ensure timely project completion.

3. Prepare and monitor project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.

4. Review and validate tool designs for manufacturability and performance.

5. Supervise machining activities including CNC, VMC, EDM, wire-cut, grinding, and fitting.

6. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems during tool manufacturing and try-out stages.

7. Conduct project review meetings and communicate project status to management and customers.

8. Ensure adherence to customer specifications, quality standards, and industry best practices.

9. Work closely with suppliers and vendors for bought-out components and outsourced processes.

10. Control project costs and support cost optimization initiatives.

11. Maintain detailed documentation for projects including drawings, schedules, inspection reports, and change notes.
