Why enroll

Participants join this course because it helps them understand how electrical and electronic quantities are measured in real life, which is a basic and essential skill for every electrical engineer. It also builds strong fundamentals for GATE EE preparation, improves lab and industry readiness, and makes it easier to understand and use common measuring instruments used in power systems, electronics, and testing.

Is this course for you?

You should take this if

  • You work in Automotive
  • You're a Electrical professional
  • You have 3+ years of hands-on experience in this field
  • You want to build skills in Engineering & Design, Project Management

You should skip if

  • You're new to this field with no prior experience
  • You need a different specialisation outside Electrical
  • You need live interaction with an instructor

Course details

This is a core subject for all undergraduate Electrical Engineering students, and its syllabus is fully aligned with the GATE EE examination. You will learn how common electrical measuring instruments work and how they respond to changing signals. This includes basic instruments like ammeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, wattmeters, and energy meters. The course also covers methods for measuring resistance and impedance, different types of bridges and potentiometers, and the use of instrument transformers. This part focuses on modern electronic measurement systems. You will study differential amplifiers and operational amplifier (op-amp) circuits, analog DC and AC instruments, analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters (ADC and DAC), digital measuring instruments, and commonly used lab equipment such as function generators and oscilloscopes.
